Whiteness is notable.

 


This is one of the Small Whites. It is fairly distinctive being noticeably smaller than the two species with which it can be confused - the Small White and Southern Small White, A. rapae and A. mannii. It also has a much whiter appearance. See the Species Page for A. mannii for other differences.

I've found ergane from the southern Pyrenees through southern France, central Italy and into Greece. It is usually very local but evidently widespread.
